Babies and toddlers are in a precious stage of life. Your children are learning and growing in amazing ways. Our teachers work to form a loving bond with our nursery kiddos to help them feel comfortable and safe to learn and explore. Loving bonds with caregivers are one of the first and most important ways that our babies and toddlers learn about God’s love for them. Through story, music and movement our classroom teachers help plant the seeds of faith and a relationship with God that will continue to grow throughout your child’s life.
Students at this age learn through play and active involvement. We work to make sure that our KidZone learning environments are filled with age-appropriate activities and fun! Our classroom teachers are passionate about helping kids understand and grow in their relationship with God, using music, dance, stories, videos and crafts while giving kids the freedom to ask their questions.
Our elementary students are at such a fun stage in their ability to learn and grow in their faith! They are full of questions, more complex thought, and the desire to understand and explore! Our classroom teachers create an environment where kids can have fun, ask questions, and discover what it means to have faith. Elementary students will sing and dance to worship songs, play games, do crafts, think critically, and get to know God!
Good News Community Church welcomes individuals and families with special or unique needs. For our kiddos who need a little extra help in the classroom, KidZone provides Special Needs Buddies who help kids encounter Jesus at their individual level. These buddies support and encourage our special needs kiddos in their age-appropriate classrooms, so that they can experience God and be excited to come back for weeks to come.
All KidZone volunteers go through an application, screening, and background check process before serving in our classrooms. They have weekly contact with the KidZone director and support is available as needed throughout the week. Each week a lesson plan is created and collaborated on by the KidZone Director and classroom volunteers. We look for volunteers who have a passion for helping kids grow in their faith and relationship with God. Our volunteers enjoy a fun and active learning environment. They are one of the best gifts to our KidZone classrooms!
