What if I don't like it once I try it?
No problem - try something else! There are a lot of areas to choose from - keep trying until you find your fit. The important part is just getting started! Jesus, our example, said, “I did not come to be served, but to serve.” It’s all about giving away your gifts, talents, strengths, abilities, and resources to intentionally serve others in Jesus’ name. Join a Volunteer Team

Cleaning Team: Vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and you get true enjoyment by the smell of lemon fresh: you would do well on this team. Contact Lorie Schroeder at Lorie@GoodNewsChurch.org

Children’s Team:If you like to work with kids from birth to 6th grade, this team would be a great fit for you. There is a waiting period, background check, and approval needed in order to teach and work directly with kids in this ministry. No worries though, there are other opportunities to serve in this area while waiting to be approved. Registration table help (have to be a people person), help with set up and take down of stations, and administrative help, are always needed. Grusher Team: Greet people with a smile, hand out bulletins, pass offering baskets, pass Communion, initiate conversation with people, set up/take down chairs, and genuinely love to make friends and make people feel welcome; you're needed on the front lines of the Grusher Team.
